"It's the Simple Things in Life"
According to Nadine Artemis, author of “Holistic Dental Care”, store bought mouthwash is full of harsh ingredients that dry out our mouth. What our mouth actually needs is PH balanced saliva to keep our teeth healthy. Enter this mint and myrrh oil infused sea salt mouthwash! It will clean and refresh your mouth, and stimulate production of saliva, which will help protect your teeth. Perfect!
8 cups of spring water
4 teaspoon of sea salt
40 drops of mint and myrrh essential oil
Bring 8 cups of spring water to a bare boil, (don’t let it get to a rolling boil, as it will destroy the nutrients in the spring water). Turn off the heat, add the sea salt and whisk to dissolve. Allow the salted water to cool and then transfer it into a few small pretty bottles using a funnel, filling the bottles ¾ way up. Add 8 to 10 drops of the essential oil into each bottle, put the cap on and shake well to ensure the essential oil is well mixed in. Top the rest of the bottle up with sea salt-water mixture. Keep one bottle at a time by your bathroom sink and the rest in the fridge. Shake the bottle each time before use. Pour a little bit of mouthwash into a small cup and swish it around the mouth vigorously allowing the beneficial mixture to get in between all your teeth.
To floss I highly recommend Dr. Tung’s Floss. It’s seriously the best tooth floss on the market simply because of the way it’s designed.
